Chateau Coutet 2020

Château Coutet is a prestigious winery located in the Barsac appellation of Bordeaux, France. It is one of the region's oldest and most renowned estates, known for producing exceptional sweet wines, particularly Sauternes.
 
The estate has a long history dating back to the 17th century and has been owned and operated by the Baly family for many generations. The vineyards are planted with traditional grape varieties, primarily Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle. These grapes are left on the vines until they are affected by Botrytis cinerea, commonly known as noble rot. This natural occurrence concentrates the sugars and flavors in the grapes, resulting in the production of luscious, honeyed, and complex dessert wines.
 
Château Coutet's wines are characterized by their elegance, finesse, and balance. They exhibit a beautiful golden color with aromas of honey, apricot, peach, candied citrus, and floral notes.
